Onshore trails reveal nesting blue-footed boobies and puffed-up male frigatebirds flaunting their red throat pouches. Beneath the waves, you’ll snorkel among elegant sea turtles, curious sea lions, and gliding rays, offering your first taste of Galapagos’ rich marine life.

Start the morning with a hike at Suarez Point, where lava rocks and cliffs form the backdrop to a dazzling array of birdlife. Nazca boobies, tropicbirds, and the majestic waved albatross (seasonal) nest here, along with hawks and marine iguanas. In the afternoon, Gardner Bay’s white-sand beach and turquoise waters set the scene for snorkeling among reef sharks, colorful reef fish, and sea turtles. Onshore, sea lions rest lazily as Española mockingbirds flit through the dunes.
